System of a Down and Deftones are teasing what looks to be a Monday (April 23) announcement of a joint North American tour. Hot on the heels of the news that they both will be playing Heavy MTL and Heavy T.O. festivals up in Canada this summer, it looks like more dates together are in the works, as the bands used their social media and online properties to drop obvious hints.

After reports a few weeks ago that Deftones were set to enter the studio in July, photos posted on their Twitter feed this week indicate they are already hard at work recording a new album.

Deftones frontman Chino Moreno, long-regarded by the ladies in the metal community as one of the most attractive singers in the genre thanks to his darkly handsome good looks, is once again off the market. (Sorry, girls!) Moreno, 38, wed his longtime girlfriend Risa Mora in a ceremony in the thoroughly romantic locale of Hawaii last week. The couple swapped vows on Wednesday, March 7.

A video was posted today of Deftones bassist Chi Cheng lifting his leg on command. Cheng had been in a coma since 2008 after a car accident left him in a coma. Since May 2011 however, Cheng has woken up and was taken out of an intensive care unit.

Over the weekend Lollapalooza took place and the Deftones were there to rip up the stage. The finished up their set with a classic Deftones tune and even went into a Katy Perry song in the middle of it.
