Dan America Stand-Up Journal 5 (NSFW Language)

This coming Thursday will be my 3rd time performing at the Comedy Works, Underground Showcase. This was my first time. Another comedian told me that I should try and impress the folks at the Comedy Works and that I should not wear my Halloween costume. So I wore a suit, which is kind of like a Halloween costume for me.

It did not go over well, because while I was waiting for the show to start, another comedian looked at me and muttered "I hate white boys in suits."

I don't think I was supposed to hear that, or at least I hoped that I was not supposed to hear that.

My history with the Comedy Works goes back further then they know. My first on-air read was a short report on the Comedy Works new location, that I read on the "New 16" which is a lovely show that only broadcasts to the city of Albany from The New School of Radio and Television.
