I wouldn't say I am a die hard, but I know what I like and usually stick to that. But I recently found out about a local convention where the real Science Fiction aficionados, gather to enjoy.

After Apple's iPad was released and how it was selling as well as changing things, other companies wanted in. So we started to see new tablets being developed. Samsung developed the Galaxy using the Android software, and HP gave us a WebOS tablet, which it then stopped selling soon after. But now we have another entry into the tablet market. GameStop.

So last time I checked the calendar, it was 2011. The 21st century. New technology is being developed all the time to improve on older tech or replace it. Some say my beloved hobby of Ham Radio is old and outdated, yet it proves it's worth when disasters, like Irene happen. Then, there is tech like the fax machine. It's like it's a tech zombie because it won't die.
Tech Tuesday – Magic Mirror will Let You Surf from the Bathroom
The New York Times R&D Lab is releasing info on a new mirror, dubbed "The Magic Mirror", that allows you to have access to the internet from your bathroom. It's built using Microsoft's Kinect Motion Sensing Technology for physical cues and voice recognition to give you the information you want, when you want it. I don't know about you, but I talk funny with a toothbrush in my mouth.
Tech Thursday – New USB Flash Drive Holds 2 TerraBytes of Data
This may be one of those claims that is just too good to be true. Two companies in Taiwan are saying that together, they have developed a USB v3.0 flash drive that reportedly holds 2 Terrabytes of data. That is more storage than the average hard drive in new computers being sold today.
Tech Tuesday – Google is Pushing Chrome to Be a Game Platform
If you like playing games on the computer, you may find some of this news kind of interesting. I sure did since I am more of a computer gamer then a platform one, even though I own a Wii. Google's strategy is to move computing to the cloud so they are also moving gaming their, with Google Chrome as a gaming platform.
