Deftones are digging deeper into their 'Koi No Yokan' album with the release of a new lyric video for the song 'Swerve City.'

Record Store Day (April 20) is fast approaching and a number of top hard rock bands have begun revealing what they plan to do to mark the occasion.

Metallica started 2013 in a big way by revealing that they would be staging their second annual Orion Music + More Festival in Detroit on June 8 and 9. Now, the band has unveiled the bands that will join them at the two-day extravaganza. Among the acts sharing the stage with Metallica will be Red Hot Chili Peppers, Deftones, Rise Against and more.

Deftones frontman Chino Moreno is a man of many projects and his latest finds him recording with several former members of the band Isis in a new group called Palms. The band has confirmed the completion of their self-titled debut album and the disc is now due June 25 through Ipecac Recordings.

The 2013 Carolina Rebellion festival lineup has been announced and, of course, it's packed full of must-see bands. The North Carolina musical gathering with feature Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Deftones, Limp Bizkit, Rise Against, Volbeat and many more.

Deftones continue to receive plenty of acclaim for their 'Koi No Yokan' album, with the disc making many year-end Top 10 critics lists, including a No. 1 spot on Loudwire's 10 Best Rock Albums of 2012. Ozzfest may leave quite an impression on Japan next year. The longtime hard rock and metal festival turned a few heads earlier this year when it was announced that Slipknot and Black Sabbath would headline the two-night destination festival in Japan. Now comes word that four more heavy hitters have signed on to play.

Ever since a November 2008 car accident, Deftones bassist Chi Cheng has mostly been in a coma. In the meantime, the band has continued to write and tour with replacement bassist Sergio Vega. Last night, though, Deftones came closer to having Chi back than they've been in nearly four years, as the band invited Chi's son Gabe onstage to perform with them in San Francisco.

Deftones got fans excited for one of 2012's most anticipated albums, 'Koi No Yokan,' by recently unleashing the awesome track 'Leathers.' Today happens to represent another monument for 'Koi No Yokan,' as Deftones have released 'Tempest' as the first official single from the album.

Deftones are getting the itch to play, having booked a gig on short notice at the Troubadour in Los Angeles and dropping by the Warner Bros. ski lodge headquarters, also in L.A., for a Friday performance.
