Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney is in some hot water around the world. One of his comments about the Olympics has gotten him in trouble with the Brits.

It's funny how the most innocent of comments can be blown out of proportion. Mitt Romney was asked how he felt about the 2012 Olympics so far, and he said he was excited, but concerned about the 'readiness' of London.

England saw this as a low blow, and immediately took offense to the remarks. The Prime Minister, David Cameron said that it's 'easier to hold an Olympic games in the middle of nowhere'. Of course taking a shot at the 2002 Salt Lake City games, which Romney helped organize.

Now that the fire has been lite, you can bet that every butter toothed Brit is going to want to do nothing but the Americans. Did Mitt bash London? No. It will be interesting to see what he does to try and extinguish the flames, though.
