I, like most, believe in supporting the local music scene of any town. Bands in every town are the future of music. Remember that almost every band you hear on the radio were once a local band playing covers in a dive bar for next to no money just trying to catch a break.
Every-so-often we at Q103 get asked what it takes to get a band's music on the radio. Though there is no real simple answer for this, there are ways though not to go about it.
The subject of raising the minimum smoking age to 21 isn't something new, many states have been tackling the issue including Vermont. The Green Mountain State recently sat down and voted on to raise or keep it at 18.
One of the oldest jokes about hockey is the phrase 'I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out.' Heck, they even made a movie about that recently in 'Goon' with Sean Patrick Scott playing a guy hired by a minor league team strictly to fight others. I mean, it makes hockey that much more interesting to watch.
So that begs the question, would it benefit other sports to allow their players to fight? One NBA player says the league should allow fights.
