Patrice Désilets seems to be the definition of go big or go home with his first title at Panache Digital Games since splitting from Ubisoft.

While many people who leave big gaming companies tend to go on to develop indie games with much smaller studios, Désilets has decided to bypass that and go for his own blockbuster release. Game Informer reports that Désilets, former creative director of the original Assassin's Creed, has since announced a new studio -- Panache Digital Games. Now, that studio is working on its debut title, and Désilets' team is aiming for AAA quality.

"Indeed AAA Games, I believe in them," Désilets said. "I believe wholeheartedly that this medium we call "video games" can be a positive force for change in our society and that AAA quality gaming experiences have unmatched strength to achieve this."

While Désilets hasn't come forth with any concrete information about his first game, he has admitted that it will be a third-person "historical-action-survival" game, which sounds promising coming from the creative director of Assassin's Creed 1-2. We'll just have to wait for more updates from Panache Digital Games to see what this new studio has under its sleeves.
