Albany’s Nick Delpopolo Loses His Olympic Judo Match

Nick Delpopolo had high hopes heading into the London Olympics, but they are cut short. He lost his match, and has to start training for the 2016 games.

After a long, and tiring match against Wang Ki-Chung of Korea, Nick Delpopolo's Olympic run was over. It was a close match, but the officials ended up making the decision.

A tough loss for Delpopolo, who's faced Ki-Chung before.

I've fought him three times before and each time was a dogfight.

It was just a few short days ago that Delpopolo and his judo teammate Kyle Vashkulat left for London from the Albany international airport. Vashkulat has yet to compete in the games, as he does not have a match until August 2nd.
