Spring is here, and Summer is fast approaching which means it's time to get out of the gym, and into the great outdoors.  Staying fit, and getting exercise can also be fun, and this local trail is a great way to do so. Natives of the Albany area can tell you that there are plenty of places to get a little exercise in the great outdoors surrounding our area.  Sure, you can just take to the roads in your neighborhood, or you can tackle an awesome bike and hiking trail right outside of the City of Albany.

Right off of 787 is the Corning trail.  Those of you who are familiar with the area, or are regulars at Alive at 5 already know this spot.  On a nice summer day this is the perfect spot for a run, jog, bike ride or just a nice walk.  You'll certainly get all your exercise in too since it stretches from Albany to Troy.  Some even call it 'The Hidden Path'.

Thought it was one of the local spots that was trashed by hurricane Irene, it's back in tip top shape, and ready for your best sneakers.  I try and hit the trail once it gets nice because it is such a nice change from being inside at the gym all Winter long.  So what are you waiting for?  I better see you out on the trail!
