Michael Bay's take on the popular kids cartoon will take center stage and film in Tupper Lake.

The film, set for a 2014 release, will be taking over the closed Big Tupper Ski Area this week. Village Mayor Paul Maroun claims the production needed a closed off ski resort and Big Tupper fits the bill. The resort has been closed as of late due to financial problems.

According to NEWS10, around 80 people are expected to work the shoot. No word on what role the Big Tupper will play in the movie.

Some fans were, and still are, worried when it was announced that Michael Bay would be directing the film. The concerned fans sited the Tranformers live action trilogy and how they feel Bay messed up a childhood treasure will two bad sequels. Also, the rumor mill has the Turtle as aliens and not created by biochemicals (known as "Ooze").

Is that the case? As a fan of the original cartoon series and live action movies, we will just have to wait until next year to see.

Here now is a play off of fan concerns in the form of a parody of the original theme song.
