Consider this the dumbest of the dumb criminals in the world, at least for this week.

A would-be robber tries to friend his victim on Facebook the day after the robbery.

Riley Allen Mullins was charged last week with second degree robbery after he allegedly robbed a women at the Washington ferry terminal in Port Orchard, WA.

The woman claims to have been struck in the head from behind while listening to music. The man who struck her then took both her iPod and purse. She didn’t get a good look at the man but remember a tattoo on his neck.

The very next day she received a ‘friend request’ on Facebook from a person she didn’t know. Upon looking at the person’s profile pictures, she noticed the exact same tattoo in the exact same spot on the person.

Police confirmed this and arrested Mullins.
