Google Launches Person Finder For Japan Disaster
A massive 8.9 magnitude earthquake hit the Pacific Ocean nearby Northeastern Japan at around 2:46pm on March 11 (JST) causing damage with blackouts, fire and tsunami. Google has launched a webpage to provide information regarding the disaster including damage with realtime updates, a person locator and more.
The google page has quick links, resources, maps, the latest news, plus emergency numbers as well as a Person Finder: 2011 Japanese Earthquake. Just type in the name of the person you are looking for or if you have information about a person.
The 10th largest earthquake since 1900 has triggered a tsunami warning for countries all around the Pacific ocean.
