Metallica has gone and totally one-upped themselves. As 2018 comes to an end, the organization ‘All Within My Hands’, funded by Metallica, has raised a ton of money and is not putting it to use.  The Times Union reported that money raised by events such as a benefit concert and vinyl sales is now being doled out to a really positive cause (in my opinion)...

Here's to all of the amazing live music of 2018! The year is officially coming to an end. It was definitely a year of great shows in and around the Capital Region.  Honestly, I think it's been the best year in awhile with just how much good live rock there was...

Tis the season!  Christmas is this week, and it's time to eat, drink, and be merry. But really, there's some awful holiday candies that year after year, just continue to exist.  Not to be a grinch, but I'm kind of a grinch with certain holiday candies...

Looks like people are leaving New York... more than any other state nationally, to be accurate. Apparently, New York tops the states for population loss, with the highest rate nationally.  According to cbs 6 Albany, 48,510 people left New York from July, 2017 to July, 2018...

While there's a push to make recreational marijuana legal in 2019, some local colleges are getting more strict and going completely smoke-free in the new year. Cigarettes, vaping, marijuana, Ecigarettes, hookahs- doesn't matter if it's legal or not,  it's all not allowed on two more local campuses starting in 2019...

A Clifton Park staple is going to be closing come 2019. Operating through the 24th of this month, Lindsey's Country Store and Sweet Shop is going to be closing its doors for good.  The Times Union reported that while the store will be open through the 24th, it will also reopen on December 27th to start liquidating, and officially close January 9th...

In 2019, some MLB games may be starting an hour earlier. Sunday night games to be exact.  I've seen this now in a couple different places, but originally read the report at abc news, and I have to say, I'm a total fan of the idea. Plus, it looks like this will affect four Yankees-Red Sox games so I feel personally affected...
