The Foo Fighters treated about 1,000 lucky fans attending a Rock the Vote concert at the Fillmore in Charlotte, N.C., on Wednesday (Sept. 5) to what Billboard reports is believed to be the band’s longest concert ever — a three-and-a-half hour, 35-song, career-spanning set. ”Tonight we play as long as we want and as much as we want,” frontman Dave Grohl told the intimate crowd — and apparently, they wanted lots of both.
The bodies of two women slain in Russia have been found underneath a note calling for the release of the jailed members of Pussy Riot, according to authorities. Although investigators into the double homicide caution that the killer may have been just trying to distract police by bringing up the name of the jailed punk band, other Russian media have played up the possible connection between Pussy Riot supporters and the crime.
– Kasabian are eyeing Jack White for what would be their first-ever collaborative recording with a fellow rocker. “I respect Jack, and in some way, shape or form we’d love to kick around in the studio with him,” guitarist Serge Pizzorno says of the potential pairing, which we already can’t wait to hear.

The ‘Angry Birds: Green Day Edition’ includes 10 never-before-seen themed levels and new “bad pig” characters inspired by frontman Billie Joe Armstrong and his bandmates Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool.
