Winter Storm Warning – February 13-14, 2014
The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER STORM WARNING for the Capital Region beginning Thursday, February 13 at 10 AM and ending at 10 AM on Friday, the 14.
What is expected?
The forecast is calling for upwards of 8-16 inches of snow with as much as 1-3 inches falling an hour during the peak of it.
The storm will make it’s way in to the southern counties of the Capital Region starting Wednesday morning between 9 AM and Noon. Then the storm will move in to the central and northern regions by late afternoon. The snow will continue to fall overnight Thursday, which will see the peak of the storm with the chance 1-3 inches falling an hour.
High winds in the 5 to 15 MPH range, with guest up to 30 MPH, will cause snow drifts and low visibility during the storm.
