Volbeat are currently touring Europe in support of their latest record, Seal the Deal & Let's Boogie. Over the weekend, the Danish rockabilly-infused metal act hit the stage in Stockholm, Sweden, bringing up some local death metal heroes to join them in performing the Beyond Hell / Above Heaven track "Evelyn" as seen in the video above.

The studio version of the song features Napalm Death vocalist Barney Greenway as a guest vocalist and in Stockholm, Entombed A.D. frontman L.G. Petrov assumed Greenway's parts. Volbeat also brought out another Swede, Grave guitarist Mika Lagrén, who joined the legendary death metal outfit back in 2011.

Petrov was animated per usual, stomping around the stage delivering his swamp monster styled bark while getting the crowd ramped up as the song kicked into action. Dominating the verses, Petrov was relieved by Volbeat's Michael Poulsen and his glimmering clean singing on the chorus. Lagrén also uploaded footage of his guest performance, shot with a GoPro camera attached to his headstock that can be viewed below.

Speaking with Straight back in 2011, Poulsen discussed the sense of pride in landing Barney Greenway as a guest on the band's album. "Writing a song like 'Evelyn' was my way of showing people that it was not only the '50s elements we were inspired by, but we were actually growing up with a lot of great metal bands. And Napalm Death was one of the first extreme metal bands I was listening to — I was listening to them when I bought my first guitar. So being able to have a singer like Barney from Napalm Death on my record was a real accomplishment. It's great to see that it's actually possible for dreams to come true, in a way."
