Born James Richard Southworth, Rachel Bolan's stage name ‘Bolan’ is a tribute to T. Rex frontman Marc Bolan, one of his childhood heroes.  Skid Row formed out of Toms River, NJ back in 1986. The band was very successful during the late 80’s and early 90’s. During this time, the band released two multi-platinum albums with the lineup of Rachel Bolan (bass), Sebastian Bach (vocals), Dave ‘Snake’ Sabo (guitar), Scotti Hill (guitar), and Rob Affuso (drums). Skid Row has sold 20 million albums worldwide. The band’s current lineup in 2016 consists of Bolan, Sabo, and Hill with Rob Hammersmith on drums. Most recently, Tony Harnell (ex singer of TNT ) was on vocals. He had been announced as new lead singer in April of 2015 but has since left the band. No word yet on who will be fronting Skid Row this year but let us hope for a full reunion of the original lineup with Seabstian Bach on vocals and Rob Affuso behind the drum kit. A life long fan can dream can't he?
