If ever you have to complain we have it bad here in America, please remember our friends across the pond. In Indonesia, a town has ban women from "straddling" bikes to "keep their dignity."

Beginning today, woman in the town of Lhokseumawe are being told they cannot straddle a motorcycle or scooter especially if a man is driving. Instead, woman must ride side-saddle.

The town is under strict Islamic sharia law and the mayor says the new regulation is to protect a woman's moral and "good image".

The rule is however being criticizer not by the Western world but by the Muslim clerical body known as the Ulema Council. They say that nowhere in the Koran does it mention motorcycles or how to ride them.
