The Stash is Back in Troy

If a Troy policeman pulls you over, you might notice quite a bit of facial hair. Then when you pay your fine, you will notice that mostly ALL the Troy Policemen have facial hair as in mustache's. It's called Mustache March and it's all for a good cause.

Troy Police officers are growing mustaches to support one of their own whose wife is fighting leukemia.

Captain John Clooney said 'The testosterone is flowing around the department and the officers are trying to show their best stuff, so to speak."

Each officer that is participating had to pay an entry fee that will go to the family to help pay  some medical expenses.  There will be a contest for the best and worst stash with judges voting on fullness or lack there of.

This is just one of the many fundraisers that the department is doing for the family. They have done raffles, even payroll deductions.

There is a pancake breakfast coming up in April to be  held at the Green Island Community Center on April 22nd from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

The price is $8 for adults and $4.50 for kids under 12.
