We posted a video this week that showed an awkward moment during a weather report on "The NBC Nightly News." Anchor Lester Holt threw it to the weatherman in the field, The Weather Channel's Mike Seidel. However, because of some technical difficulties, Seidel was not able to hear him. He was standing with his back to the camera and it looked like he was peeing in the North Carolina snow.

Mistakes happen when you record the news live. Most of the time it's no big deal, but sometimes something glorious happens.

As if it's not bad enough that a tornado nearly destroyed your neighborhood, now this.

This couple was snorkeling on their honeymoon in Mexico when a storm rolled in. The lifeguards instructed them to get out of the water, which they did. So they were probably in the clear, right? Wrong!

Here's some advice to live by: If there's lightning, stay inside and hide.

Meteorologists are a rare breed. They have no problem standing outside in a crazy storm to report the weather. Why they can't just set up a camera outside and do the report from the safety and convenience of a studio, we are still not sure. But whatever.

Some storms were rolling through Fairburn, S.D., on Tuesday. So, storm chaser Scott Sheppard grabbed his camera and began recording out the window of his car. He appears to have been recording a rainbow when, all of a sudden, he was struck by lightning.
