After all the kind words that Boston Red Sox General Manager Theo Epstein said about manager Terry Francona, they still fire the guy. Boston has decided to not pick up the option on Francona's contract after the largest collapse in Major League Baseball History. The bottom line is the Boston Red Sox did not make the playoffs and someone has to be held accountable.
