This past weekend most people celebrated Halloween since it is tomorrow- on a Monday, yuck! As I went to my Facebook page I saw a lot of my friends had posted pictures from their Halloween parties and ventures. However, with the fun came two snow storms that made headlines everywhere. Today, all weather advisories are over. Too bad the snow couldn't have waited until the holiday weekend was over!
Every year Halloween seems to have a new surprise concerning the weather. This year brings snowfall to Albany's festivities which in my opinion, is devastating. Sometimes I wish Halloween was in the summer so dressing like a skank wasn't such a chore when it came to dressing for the weather
It's hard to believe that we're already delivering this news but Mother Nature continues to be nasty to us in 2011 as we are facing a pretty severe winter storm and it's only October! Well as expected, winter has finally showed it's ugly face. It won't be dropping too much of the nasty white stuff on us just yet, but it's enough to be annoying especially with it being Halloween weekend. Doesn't old man winter, mother nature, whom ever is responsible for this know that people don't like to trick or treat in snow? Especially not crappy wet snow that just leaves you cold and wet. At any rate, it's here and this is what we can expect for the next few months. Welcome to winter.
I think we have been taking the recent weather for granted around the Albany area. We are predicted to get a little wet snow in some of the higher elevations tonight and a little tomorrow too. In the mean time Denver, Colorado has already been hit with 10 inches of snow and it's not even November.
The weather sure is wild lately in the Albany area with hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, rain, hot and cold spells. What kind of winter can we expect this year? According to AccuWeather.com we're in for a stormy and cold one but not as bad as last year.
Wow, talk about devastation. Some of footage from the tornadoes in the south is just plain scary. If you’re like me and have never really been anywhere near one, it almost seems unreal. After watching some of these videos I think, sometimes it’s not so bad living in the Northeast
Hate the be the bearer of bad news if you are sick of winter. Its a tough pill to swallow since temperatures are above freezing and green grass is peeking out of the snow.

The President's winter break week in the Capital Region started with extreme cold temperatures, then warmed to 50 degrees, and ended with heavy snowstorm with 6-12" expected. Did it ruin winter break?
Brace for impact Capital Region because another heavy hitting winter system is right on top of us. We could see over 15" of the white stuff by the end of it.
Say what you want.. with another snow storm on its way to the Capital Region. This January is only the sixth snowiest on record. Yikes!
