The involuntary manslaughter trial involving the doctor who treated Slipknot bassist Paul Gray in the days before his 2010 death is now under way at the Polk Country District Court in Iowa, and the big story to come out of yesterday's courtroom proceedings was the revealing testimony by Gray's widow Brenna.

Slipknot are bringing back their Knotfest music event in 2014, but taking a page out of Ozzfest's book, Slipknot will be staging the fest in Japan. Slipknot were actually part of last year's one-off Ozzfest performance in Japan and will now deliver their very own festival to the country on Nov. 15 and 16.

Before the rise of the Internet, it was damn near impossible to stumble upon the true faces of the masked nine known as Slipknot. However, as Stone Sour reunited in 2002, the identities of vocalist Corey Taylor and guitarist Jim Root became public for all to see. Finally, with the release of 'Voliminal: Inside the Nine' on DVD in 2006, the faces of the nine were officially revealed.

Corey Taylor remains committed to finishing out the touring and promotion of his ambitious Stone Sour double-disc 'House of Gold & Bones,' but he's also started digging in on the next Slipknot album.

There has been plenty of talk that Slipknot are working on new music for 2014 and now there's some visual proof. Guitarist Jim Root, who is sitting out Stone Sour's winter 2014 tour to work on the new Slipknot album, just offered a new Instagram photo posting showing himself holding a guitar in the studio.

For every school talent show or concert, it seems like there's always one kid or group of kids out to show everyone else what some real music is all about.
