The legendary Slash (Velvet Revolver/ex-Guns n' Roses) served a killer guitar introduction on a silver platter this past Sunday at the NFC Championship game between the New York Giants and The San Franciso 49ers. Four years after their acrimonious split, the members of Velvet Revolver reunited with lead singer Scott Weiland for a brief live set last night (Jan. 12) — and now a message on the band’s website is causing some to question whether Weiland could be back in the fold on a more permanent basis.

2012 is only a couple of days old, and Slash has certainly hit the ground running. The former Guns n Roses guitarist is putting the finishing touches on a new album recorded with Alterbridge frontman Miles Kennedy and getting ready for a show with Scott Weiland and Velvet Revolver.

Fans of Slash will be in for a treat in 2012 as he is putting out a second solo record, this time with singer Myles Kennedy on the whole album. According to Slash he has 13 songs ready to record on top of the 3 that he has already recorded.
It's Slash's first ever live CD and it's coming out on Tuesday. Slash returned to his hometown and recorded the concert at the Victoria Hall in Stoke On Trent on July 24th. The show was at the end of his 2010-11 world tour in support of his debut solo album "Slash". Lead vocals were handled by Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge and the 21 song setlist featured tracks from his solo album, from his albums with both Slash's Snakepit and Velvet Revolver and classic songs that he co-wrote for Guns N' Roses.

On his way to a Halloween party at the Roosevelt Hotel, Slash was spotted on the sidewalk dressed to the T like a Spaniard in the old west. As a matter of fact, it's kind of like El Guapo from The Three Amigos. It's funny, and the reporter says it, but hundreds of people probably dressed as Slash for Halloween this year and years before that too. He still had on the signature aviator sunglasses though, somethings don't need changing.
Axl Rose just loves to put down his ex friend and former GN'R guitarist. Recently, Axl got personal again saying that Slash used to pee himself while on a drinking binge, then Axl would steal the girl that Slash was with. Maybe this is Axl's way to take the heat off of him as the internet has been buzzing with GN'R tardiness to start shows and how much weight Axl has gained.
Slash is making some nice progress on his new solo album, and his bandmates say that there are almost 20 songs ready to go for it.
