First it was Pearl Jam, then Nirvana, now it's the Smashing Pumpkins turn.  Their first albums 'Gish' and' Siamese Dream' are being remastered to be released on November 29th.  Pumpkins front man Billy Corgan sits down for a conversation about a wide range of topics including the re-issues and the future.  Check out the 6 part interview - its the ultimate interview for any Pumpkins fan.

Part 1 contains a wide-range of topics including the reason for the reissues working with Bob Ludwig, Billy's relationship with the rest of the band, putting the Gish-era in perspective: "Drown" and the "Singles" soundtrack.

Part two includes working with Butch Vig, picking out songs for the bonus discs, the song "Honeyspider" and the influence of shoegazer music including putting the Siamese Dream-era in perspective and the internal relationships between band members during Siamese Dream plus James Iha and D'arcy Wretzky's influence on the band's musical direction

Part three discusses the song "Siamese Dream", the true meaning of the band's name, the packaging of the reissues, the accompanying DVD performances from The Metro in Chicago, the influence of the Alt Rock movement on Billy, what the Billy of today would tell the Billy of the early '90s plus bonus track differences from Pisces Iscariot.

Part four features Billy discussing select tracks from Gish, including "I Am One," "Rhinoceros," "Siva," "Bury Me," and "Tristessa".

Part five features Billy discussing select tracks from Siamese Dream, including "Cherub Rock," "Today," "Disarm," "Rocket," "Geek U.S.A.," "Quiet," "Mayonaise," and "Spaceboy."The discussion gets particularly intimate with Billy discussing the relationship with his father and being an abused child.

Part six includes looking to the future, Billy discusses the new Smashing Pumpkins release, Oceania, coming out in 2012 and its roots in progressive rock.

The Gish and Siamese Dream reissues are loaded with bonus content and special features hand selected by Billy Corgan and have been remastered for the first time from the original master tapes by Bob Ludwig.
