Slipknot Tribute to Paul Gray [VIDEO]

Slipknot returned to the stage this past Friday. An empty costume and bass of Paul Grey was on stage with them at the Sonisphere Festival.   It was a emotional return as Corey Taylor said “Will you celebrate with us”  Slipknot bass player died from an overdose last May and the band took a step in the recovery process by playing the Sonisphere festival in Greece.   The band appeared in old style mask and red jump suits.

Corey Taylor invited the fans to join in with the classic track Duality saying:

“Will you all help me sing a song for my brother? Sing so loud he can hear us – because he is here with us tonight. Can you feel it?”

The 25,000 capacity audience supported the band all the way through their 14-song set, with former member Donnie Steel playing Gray’s bass parts from offstage.
