Not many details are available yet, but we do know that there will be a 2015 edition of Knotfest. The announcement was made today (May 26) via Facebook that Knotfest will be held at San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, Calif., the same location where it took place last year. The dates for this year's fest are Oct. 23-25.

It's pretty safe to assume that Slipknot will be playing, but more details and bands will revealed on June 29. That's also when tickets will go on sale.

The inaugural Knotfests were held in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Someset, Wis., in August of 2012. There was also a Knotfest Japan in 2014. Some of the bands that played last year's festival included Danzig, Five Finger Death Punch, Volbeat, Killswitch Engage and Anthrax.

It will be a busy few days for Slipknot in October. In addition to Knotfest, they'll also be playing the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, Caliif., on Oct. 24 alongside bands including Shinedown, Marilyn Manson, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Bring Me The Horizon, Black Veil Brides, Clutch and more. Since the two festivals overlap, it could be that Slipknot are taking the night off of Knotfest on the 24th to play Aftershock.

Between now and Knotfest, Slipknot have a ton of touring lined up. They'll be playing several European festivals in June including Download in the UK and Hellfest in France. They'll embark on the "Summer's Last Stand" North American tour with Lamb of God, Bullet for My Valentine and Motionless in White that kicks off July 24 in West Palm Beach, Fla.
