Skillet’s New Guitarist [VIDEO]

Earlier this year Q103 Q-Ruption performer Skillet announced that guitarist Ben Kasica was leaving the band for personal reasons.   I don't recall seeing anything official on who was replacing Ben, so I did some research and found out it is Seth Morrison.Skillet is comprised of lead vocalist bass player John Cooper, his wife & rhythm guitarist Korey Cooper, drummer Jen Ledger and now lead guitarist Seth Morrison.   Ben Kasica announced on his twitter a while ago that indeed Seth Morrison is the new guitarist and personally trained him to take over.

Skillet originally had chosen Jonathan Salas to replace Ben. Jonathan did only a few shows with the band- announcing he was leaving in April.  Ben returned to help Skillet finish the tour and train Seth.  Ben also helped remix the album 'Awake'  and created the 'Awake and Remixed EP'  Ben may not be totally out of the picture with Skillet as he continues to play with the band on select dates.

Seth has been touring since he was 13 and has been in numerous bands before joining Skillet.

Skillet will be performing at the Q103 Q-Ruption with Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, & Egypt Central August 19th at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.  Sponsored by Coors Light.
