Shinedown fans have been waiting for new material from the band for a little while now.  It looks like they could be getting it soon.  Currently the band is in the studio working on their fourth studio album and follow up to 2008's The Sound Of Madness.    According to Brent Smith the guys have been working very hard.

Smith tweeted early this morning "Long day at the studio...Just got home.  Will be back there in 14 hours."  They are currently working on the new album at Ocean Way Recording studios in California, the same place they recorded The Sound Of Madness.   It will be interesting to see what the band will do to top the 2008 album which saw 6 singles, 5 of them reaching #1 on the US Mainstream Rock Charts.
