Old-school German rock band Scorpions have been playing the gig of their lives for over forty years now, and they have just announced the dates for their farewell, "Final Sting" tour. It will be hitting North American on June 8 in Reno, Nevada and will conclude July 12 in Washington D.C.

In 47 years, the Scorpions have created 19 studio albums, five live albums and an impressive 23 compilations albums. The tour will be in support of their latest studio album, Comeblack, which released November4, 2011, as I'm sure it will also encompass the band's nearly 50-year career that is leaving them as legends.

According to the article,

SCORPIONS' "Comeblack", a new album of classic rock covers and fresh performances of signature repertoire recorded last year, sold around 5,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 90 on The Billboard 200 chart.

"Comeblack", is, according to the band, "an encore for our die-hard fans, to thank them for all the support for so many years. At the same time, this is a tribute to legendary bands from the sixties, like THE BEATLES and THE ROLLING STONES, who have inspired us to follow our dreams. We hope you like it as much as we do... Rock on and ... Comeblack.
