Happy Birthday today to singer Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam. He’s 53. Other rockers celebrating is guitarist Dave Murray of Iron Maiden (61) and former Rainbow singer Graham Bonnet (70).

Eddie Vedder formed Pearl Jam out of Seattle in 1990. The band’s original lineup featured Vedder on vocals along with guitarists Stone Gossard and Mike McCready, bassist Jeff Ament, and drummer Dave Krusen. Pearl jam is one of the most successful rock band’s of the 90’s with an estimated 60 million records sold worldwide. The band’s debut album Ten was a huge success going 13 times platinum with hits “Alive”, “Even Flow”, and “Jeremy. The album remains Pearl Jam’s most commercially successful release.
Pearl Jam toured in 2016 to commemorate the band’s 25th anniversary which included a headlining slot at the 2016 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.

Great memories in the early 90's as a kid in junior high when Ten was released, when everyone started wearing combat boots and flannel shirts. I've never seen Pearl Jam live but they are on my bucket list. Cheers to Eddie Vedder on his birthday today!
