Robin Williams Dead at 63 – Rockers React
The news of actor and comedian Robin Williams’ death has shocked fans all over the world. According to a report in the New York Times, the 63-year-old star apparently killed himself.
Williams died in his home in Marin County, Calif., earlier today, after police responded to a call at the actor’s home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Over a career that spanned more than 35 years, Williams first broke out on the hit TV show ‘Mork & Mindy’ in 1978 before becoming one of the most popular big-screen stars of the ’80s and ’90s. Williams appeared in such classic movies as ‘Good Will Hunting’ (for which he won an Oscar) and “Dead Poets Society.’
As news of his death spread, many rockers took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Williams. From Ozzy Osbourne to Peter Frampton to Flea, Williams’ manic energy and screen presence seemed to affect all walks of life.
