Over the years, Rob Zombie has had a knack for casting actors in his films that caught his eye as he was growing up. That trend is continuing as Zombie starts to fill out the cast for his upcoming horror flick, 31. The latest cast additions include Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs and E.G. Dailey.

For the younger readers, those names may not spark any recognition, but Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs will always be remembered as Freddie "Boom Boom" Washington, the smooth-talking teenager for the hit '70s sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter. He also appeared in the '70s miniseries Roots, the late '80s TV series Alien Nation and has made cameos in a number of TV, film and stage productions over the years. Hilton-Jacobs will appear in 31 as Panda Thomas, the manager of the Venus Lux Happy Time Fun Show traveling roadshow.

As for Dailey, she had memorable turns in Valley Girl and Better Off Dead before landing her most popular role as Dottie in Pee-Wee's Big Adventure. In recent years, she's cleaned up as a voice actor, giving voices to characters in the film Happy Feet as well as voicing characters on TV's Rugrats and Powerpuff Girls. Dailey has also released four albums over the years and attempted to reignite her singing career a few years back by competing on NBC's The Voice. Dailey will take on a more sinister role in 31 as SEX-HEAD, the insane partner of Death-Head.

It was also recently revealed that actor Torsten Voges was cast as Death-Head in 31. To learn more about the film and how you can contribute to its creation, check here.

These are busy times for Zombie. The rocker recently released the Spookshow International Live DVD, which is currently available here. Meanwhile, he's been working with his band on finishing a new studio album that's expected later this year. And finally, Zombie will be hitting the road in June. Among the dates is a headlining gig at the inaugural Loudwire Music Festival taking place June 26-28 in Grand Junction, Colo. For all his upcoming dates, click here.
