Yesterday Rivers Resort & Casino in Schenectady announced that construction is close to being finished and that the casino is set to open it's doors to the public on February 8th, 2017!

According to the TU the new casino includes:

A 50,000-square-foot gaming floor with 1,142 slot machines, 67 gaming tables and 15 poker tables attached to a 165-room hotel and a 10,000-square-foot banquet facility

along with all the gaming fun the casino brings they are also offering a whole slew of dining options to patrons such as:

The 140-seat Dukes Chophouse; Asian restaurant Mian; Flipt, which will offer burgers, hot dogs and other grilled foods; Johnny's to Go, a spin-off of the popular Italian restaurant in downtown Schenectady; and Villa Italia, which will serve coffee, pastries and other treats.

Now, I'm not much of a gambler because it's hurts me to drop my hard earned cash for nothing but this spot is looking pretty impressive. I'm thinking I might just have to get my old lady status on and get down on some penny slots!
