We talked with Rich Robinson of the Black Crowes about his new project the Magpie Salute and got a little update on his relationship with his brother Chris Robinson...

Rich Robinson is a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and painter who is probably most well known as one half of the founding members and driving forces behind the Black Crowes who he formed with his brother Chris Robinson and has been on an indefinite hiatus for sometime now.

Aside from his solo work that he has done intermittently Rich has started a new project called the Magpie Salute where he has brought in some of his former band mates, a couple of whom he ha had a tumultuous relationship working with in the past. They released their self titled debut in June and are currently on tour across the states.

I got to chat a bit with Rich about how this new project came about, rekindling relationships with old friends, recording, touring, and while we were on the topic of repairing relationships I had to ask about the current state of his with his brother and former band mate Chris Robinson. You can her what he had to say about everything in our conversation below!

You can pick up the self titled debut from the Magpie Salute everywhere now and you can catch them live when they come back to the east coast in November. You can see their full tour schedule HERE.
