Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Asking For Public’s Help

Rensselear County Sheriff’s are asking residents to keep an eye out for suspicious activity and vehicles as they investigate two commercial break-ins that occurred on February 17th.

The Poestenkill Town Hall was the first with burglar alarms going off at 7:45. Deputies said that someone broke a door window pane but nothing was reported missing.

The second business broken into did not fair so well. Later on that evening someone broke into the Sand Lake Clipper and stole money a cash register along with a money bag. The amount stolen was not released.

So, keep your eyes peeled and if you have any information contact the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s tip line at 266-1981.
