Rock on the Range was in full effect in Columbus, OH Saturday, May 18 with another sold out event. I sat down with Anthony from Red about their new album, touring, and the future.

The band recorded their fourth album "Release The Panic" with producer Howard Benson. Howard has produced such acts as Halestorm, Three Days Grace, and more. The band crafted the album while recording and demoing at Benson's house in the hills of Hollywood, which would also serve as inspiration for the lead single "Perfect Life"

We went out on his balcony and the back of his house is overlooking the Kardashians compound. It's not about bashing their life style.  It's about making people focus on the fact they put their eggs in this basket of trying to be like other people and lead what they see on TV as the perfect life.

Why did they choose Howard?

Things weren't getting stagnant with Rob Graves. We wanted try something different. We wanted to swing for the fence. Do things we've never done before.

Howard told us 'I'm going take everything you to the next level. I'm not here to change your band'

He loved everything we brought to the table.

Sonically we changed stuff a little bit. Did a little less of the string element and get to the try to get to the bare bones of the song

Check out the full interview below and you can see the band live at Upstate Concert Hall on May 25th.
