I'm getting ready to head to Saratoga this weekend for the Capital Region Walk for R.I.T.A. and raise awareness for suicide prevention.  It doesn't take a mental health nurse like me to know the devastation that suicide can cause- just look at the music community in the past year and the loss of amazing talents such as Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington.  That's why I'm so excited to be putting my walking shoes on this Sunday and heading to Saratoga.

Hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the Capital Region Walk for R.I.T.A. is part of the "Out of the Darkness Walks."  It's happening at the Saratoga Spa State Park this Sunday, the 24th, and the walk includes a two mile route through the park.  All the details can be found at the official website.

Here's to doing good not just through music, but taking action too!  Looking forward to seeing community members there, and if you see me, feel free to say hi!
