Finally, a giant fluffy kitty has heard my calls and is heading towards Albany to come play with me! There is an alleged cougar sighting in Cambridge, NY, which is bad news if you are a giant ball of yarn. (Cats love yarn, it’s a fact.)

According to the TU, Cambridge police have received two separate unconfirmed sightings of a large cat in the area. I assume these are unidentified reports because when asked, “Hey are you a mountain lion?” that cat failed to respond. For future reference the police would like you to know…

"If you should spot what you believe is a mountain lion please do not do anything but call your local police department or the New York State Department of Conservation."

There is no known native mountain lion population in New York State, however sightings have been reported once or twice a year. It makes me sad that the state isn’t overwhelmed with giant kitties like mountain lions.

I think it would be fantastic to walk out of my front door and see a cougar. I mean, if I could manage to keep the mountain lion from eating me, of course.
