Play For The Stage Website Vote In Band Announced

There is a lot of great music from local bands to represent the Capital Region.  One lucky local band will open for the Q103 Q-Ruption at SPAC on August 19th starring Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, Skillet, Sick Puppies and Egypt Central.  After 13 bands were selected to Play for the Stage, 8 were guaranteed and 1 of the 5 remaining still needed to be voted in.   Who won the vote?

It was very tough to select just 13 bands to represent the Capital Region local music scene, that why we left the final band in the Q103 listeners hands to be voted in.

One of these 5 bands needed to be voted in:

The Erotics
Fort Rooster
Garden Road
Hygeer
Selfish Needy Creatures

Voting was fierce and very close.

The winner with 38.2 percent of the vote is

SELFISH NEEDY CREATURES!

They will now PLAY FOR STAGE this Friday night at Savannahs 1 South Pearl Street in downtown Albany starting at 9pm.

Selfish Needy Creatures will battle it out with Uncivil Liberty and KoleKora.
