As someone who grew up in rural New York, working outdoors with my parents, picking weeds, gardening, raking, getting muddy, and yes sometimes even crying and throwing tantrums when I was really young- but learning what a hard day's work meant- my mind is utterly BLOWN by a pair of muddy jeans that have gone viral.

And by muddy, I don't mean the muddy like us upstate New Yorker's know.  I mean muddy as in fake mud on a pair of purposely distressed jeans decorated to make it look like the person wearing them has put in some long hard hours.  Except, the person wearing them has paid $425 for them, and NOT put in the long hard hours to get them muddy.  Honestly, to WHOEVER buys these, quit while you're ahead at attempting to pass as someone who has put in the work to have an extra $50 to spend, let alone an extra $425.

You can check out the "muddy" jeans (for sale at Nordstrom) here: Barracuda Straight Leg Jeans

To add insult, the pair jeans are named after one of my favorite rock songs, "Barracuda."  Are you kidding me?  Don't get me wrong, as a Rock Girl, I love fashion.  I love dressing up, doing my make up, putting on heels, and hitting a concert.  But to me, these jeans are not fashion.  They're an insult to the truly rugged, the truly outdoorsy, and the hard working laborers out there.  I've got nothing wrong with mud and grass-stains, as long as you put in the work to get them.

Maybe it's just me? But I can think of a whole lot of other things to spend $425 on...
