Pantera Mentioned at Academy Awards

Did you happen to catch the Pantera mention on the Academy Awards last night? It was cool to see.

Pantera was mentioned during a short clip announcing the nominees in the "Best Adapted Screenplay" category. Actor Christian Bale learned to play double-bass drums for a short clip in the film The Big Short. The clip from last night's broadcast can be seen below.

Christian Bale plays the role of hege fund manager Michael Burry in the film, who's also a drummer that listens to metal bands like Pantera and Mastadon. The Big Short, written and directed by Adam McKay took home the Oscar for "Best Adapted Screenplay" last night. The official Pantera Twtter account posted the video with the message saying, "Pantera just got mentioned on the Oscars! And The Big Short Won". #metalistakingover #thebigshort #pantera
