With the ‘Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck’ documentary about to debut at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, this week, we can now see the first official image from the forthcoming film. Check it out above.

The documentary -- which was directed by Brett Morgen and features Cobain’s daughter Frances Bean as executive producer -- will combine animated stills, photos, exclusive interviews, never-before-heard music and more, all from the life of Cobain.

The image comes shortly after the news that the documentary will be simultaneously released with a book under the same name. It will delve deeper into the film’s content and the late Nirvana frontman’s archives, which Morgen was given access to.

After ‘Montage of Heck’ premieres at Sundance, it will air on HBO on May 4.
