Do NOT I repeat DO NOT bust out your cell phone during the A Perfect Circle show at the Times Union Center this weekend.

If you are heading to the A Perfect Circle show at the Times Union Center in Albany on Saturday a word of warning:

***DO NOT attempt to take any pictures or videos while you are at the show. This includes photos, videos, snaps, or stories taken with your cell phone. If you are seen using your phone at the show they will kick you out of the venue.***

It has been a long running rule of A Perfect Circle's front man Maynard James Keenan that there be no photos or videos taken during any of his shows and I can tell you first hand that the man is not messing around when it comes to his rules. I was working a live broadcast for an A Perfect Circle show a few years back and Maynard had requested that no one be allowed in the venue during sound check. At first we figured we were exempt from this suggestion seeing as though we were LIVE on the air at the time but nope. It was very apparent that we weren't when were forced to have to hide in a closet and do the broadcast with a flip phone and then eventually were escorted to the parking lot.

If you still don't believe me just ask one of the over 60 people that were ejected from their show in Reading PA last weekend.

I have heard a couple of different reasons people have come up with as to why Maynard is so strict about this policy but I think most if it is all some form of speculation. After some fans were complaining about last weekends ejections on social media Maynard decided to comment on some posts with a response of his own saying:

No. Recording. Of. Any. Kind. For. 25. Years. Guided experience. Unplug and and enjoy the ride.

So consider yourself warned. If you are one of those people that can't leave your phone in  your pocket you may want to leave it in the car.
