Tens of thousands of concertgoers will make their way to Saratoga, and cities around New York State, this weekend to attend concerts such as TLC, Shaggy Hot Summer Nights and the 2 sold out Dead & Co. shows at SPAC as we officially begin the summer concert season.

If you are planning to attend any show in New York State this summer you will need to know what you are allowed to bring into each venue. Policies vary on certain items such as food, water, lawn chairs, etc. New York State Police and officials from the New York State DMV will be on the look out for one item in particular, your fake ID.

DMV investigators have partnered with investigators from the State Liquor Authority, State Police, State Parks Police and local law enforcement for 'Operation Prevent'. This is a summer-long, statewide, crackdown on the use of fake IDs to purchase alcohol at concert venues.

Operation Prevent is currently underway and will continue until September 17th. Here are some of the venues where sweeps will be conducted;
