NBA Is Must See TV

I have always heard people tell me that the NBA is boring to them.  For a few years the league has been so, so but this year we are looking at some very exciting games.

I sit home Sunday afternoon watching my Boston Celtics take on the Miami Heat for the third time this season.  Whether you watch the NBA or not you know the drama that went down this off season with Lebron James joining up with Miami.  So far this year the Heat have not lived up to the hype.  The Celtics have been the dominant team in the East since acquiring “the big 3″ back in 2007.  Now teams like Chicago, Orlando and Miami are starting to get things together to rival the C’s.  The New York Knicks, who have been an absolute joke in the league for the better part of a decade are also picking up the pace a little bit.  Amare Stoudemire and Danillo Galinari have given the Knicks that added power needed.  Raymond Felton is proving to be one of the better point guards in the league as well.  When New York is doing well, the NBA seems to be more exciting.

We head out west where the San Antonio Spurs are just running over their opponents and have the best record in the league.  Kobe Bryant and the Laker’s got off to a slower start than expected but have now picked up the pace to once again become a title contender.  The West itself is very exciting to watch.  The Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder are three teams that give the big guys a run for their money.  Kevin Durant is currently leading the league in scoring.  The Jazz may have lost Carlos Boozer but have not showed any kind of slow down.  I hate when people tell me that the NBA is boring, how is it boring?  Maybe if you’re watching the Charlotte Bobcats and New Jersey Nets you aren’t seeing the most exciting games.  Do yourself a favor and click on the NBA on Sunday afternoons.  I know most of you are looking to fill that football void anyway.
