First off, remember, this is all my personal opinion and does not reflect the views of the radio station.

Yes, I am an Obama lover.  I think he speaks my political feelings and I think he genuinely wants everything that he proposes unlike some presidents of the past that just fed us citizens BS, telling us just what we wanted to hear.

Two things that stood out for me during the State of the Union address:  the first was when Obama spoke about repealing "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," everyone gave a standing ovation except certain attendees in uniform who remained seated and did not even clap.  For some, this could have just been representative of their stoic demeanor, but for a few, I think it may have actually been a visual representation of their view on the matter.  I know the military ultimately backed the repeal, but you can't expect all of them to agree- and you could see that.  I giggled.  Secondly, the amount of standing ovations killed me!  After the first few, I started having micro sleeps during them.  Come on, it's late, I have to wake up for work, I need a nap!  More speech, less sucking up.

Overall, I was pleased with President Obama's State of the Union.  It'd be nice if Americans did decide to step up with motivation from this "pep rally" as it had been referred to in slight vexation by a few of the justices present.
