Metallica & Lou Reed Team Up – Loutallica?
Metallica and Lou Reed have teamed up and collaborated to bring you a new different kind of album. There is a new single called 'The View' available thru iTunes on Tuesday September 27th and the album entitled 'LuLu' will be out November 1st. We have the video preview of the music after the jump.
So how did this idea come about? Well Lou Reed performed with Metallica during their Rock N Roll Hall of Fame performance in 2009. All those involved knew they wanted to make more music together.
When Lou Reed was putting together a theatrical piece called 'LuLu' he asked Metallica if they could help him take the music to new levels.
The band and Lou Reed got together at Metallica Headquarters and started creating music. When it was all said and done, ten new songs were written and put on a album.
Here we are today.. a 30 second preview of music that is to come.
