Mental Health Patient Escapes From Courthouse, Turns Self In [UPDATED]
Albany Country Sheriffs are on the hunt for 43-year-old George Siddon who is a mental health patient that walked out of the county courthouse earlier today. He was not in criminal custody at the time and was visiting the courthouse for a mental evaluation.
Siddon is considered to be dangerous and prone to violence. Police say he "could be a danger to himself and others."
So how does a mental health patient get away? Survalence video shows Siddon's Albany Medical Center handler was on their cellphone at the time he made his "escape".
Siddon is described as
- White male
- 5'11"
- 215 pounds
- Wearing a dark t-shirt
- navy/gray knee-length shorts and sneakers
