There are some stories that just need to be captured on video. Plus, it doesn't hurt when you've got two punk legends as the storytellers. In this exclusive clip, Misfits guitarist Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein and Ramones drummer Marky Ramone recall an incident between Marky and Joey Ramone that nearly ended in a fist fight.

We recently had Doyle as a guest at our studio, and in between segments, he began to tell a story that occurred at New York City's iconic Roseland Ballroom, which sadly closed down in 2014. Joey Ramone was a childhood hero of Doyle's, so when the singer practiced at the Misfits' shop, it blew Doyle's mind.

Joey was set to join the Misfits onstage to jam a few songs, but Misfits bassist Jerry Only planned a surprise for the Ramones frontman that wasn't well-received, at first. Unbeknownst to the Misfits, Joey and Marky Ramone were feuding at the time, so when Marky was invited to drum on 'Blitzkrieg Bop,' a fight nearly broke out the moment Marky and Joey locked eyes.

In the video above, Doyle speaks about how he was ready to grab both of his childhood heroes in a headlock to prevent a scrap. Marky, on the other hand, jokes lightly that it would have taken more than the muscle-bound Doyle to break the Ramones members apart.
